Stephen Piscotty Exits Early In Game 1 On Monday
4 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Stephen Piscotty left the first game of Monday’s doubleheader against the Mariners due to an undisclosed injury. Robbie Grossman entered the lineup in place of Piscotty, who went 0-for-3 prior to his departure. His outing dipped his average on the season to .248, as he has been hampered by a wrist injury that forced him to miss time as recently as last week. With Matt Chapman (hip) already set to miss the remainder of the year, Piscotty’s right-handed bat will loom large in the heart of the club’s lineup down the stretch, so long as he can remain healthy. Check back for an update on his status ahead of Tuesday’s matchup against Colorado.
