Stephen Piscotty Could Be Facing Surgery
3 years agoOakland Athletics outfielder Stephen Piscotty (wrist) could be facing surgery to fix a wrist issue that has been plaguing him all season long, according to Martin Gallegos of MLB.com. Piscotty was placed on the 10-day injured list earlier in the day on Saturday with a sprained left wrist, as he has struggled at the plate all year long by slashing .220/.282/.353 with five homers, one steal, 16 RBI and 14 runs scored over 72 games. Even without the potential for surgery, there's no reason managers should be rostering Piscotty at this point in the season.
