Stephen Curry Nets 28 First-Half Points
2 years agoGolden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry registered his third consecutive 30-point outing in Sunday's win over Sacramento, bagging 28 of his 33 points in the first half. He produced 21 points in the second quarter alone with five three-pointers. The Warriors ended up recording 50 points in the second quarter and had 89 points overall in the first half, which marks their second-most first-half points ever. Curry finished with 11-for-22 shooting in 31 minutes, sinking seven of 12 attempts from deep. He also tallied five rebounds, two assists and one steal with two turnovers. The two-time MVP has been in sizzling form at the start of the season, averaging 33.3 points per game with 44.4 percent shooting from deep. His hot streak faces a tough challenge next, as the Warriors travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns, who limited Curry to 32.4 percent shooting and 22.7 points last season.
