4 years agoBuffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) was able to return to practice in full pads on Tuesday. That is great news, Diggs was sidelined that last three weeks of practice due to a lingering knee injury. He doesn't seem to have missed a beat and is ready to get back into action. Diggs put together an MVP-type season in 2020 and is showing no signs of slowing down heading into 2021. He should be taken off draft boards in the first round in almost every fantasy format.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

4 weeks agoHouston Texans general manager Nick Caserio said on Sports Radio 610 on Wednesday that the team is open to bringing impending free-agent wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) back. "I had a good relationship with Stef and his representation. We enjoyed having Stef in the building, so the door is always open," Caserio said. The 31-year-old's 2024 season with the Texans was cut short due to a torn ACL, and he finished with 47 catches for 496 yards and three touchdowns in eight games played. Fellow wideout Tank Dell also suffered a serious knee injury that could keep him out for all of 2025, so the Texans will surely be looking for additional help for top wideout Nico Collins this offseason. Diggs' days of being a No. 1 fantasy wideout are likely gone, especially coming off a torn ACL, but he could still put up solid numbers if he returns to Houston as the No. 2 behind Collins.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

4 weeks agoESPN's DJ Bien-Aime writes that the Houston Texans are unlikely to use the franchise tag on wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) this year because they have limited salary cap space in 2025 and don't want to dump almost $26 million into an aging player coming off a torn ACL. Diggs will also be 32 years old in November. The $26 million this year would be a higher yearly salary than what No. 1 wideout Nico Collins makes at $24,250,000. It means that Diggs might be one-and-done in Houston after they acquired him in a trade with the Buffalo Bills last offseason, even though receiver Tank Dell also suffered a season-ending injury that could keep him out for all of 2025. In his eight games with the Texans, Diggs had a 47-496-3 line on 64 targets. Coming off a serious knee injury, it will be interesting to see what kind of market he'll have, but his landing spot will ultimately determine his fantasy value.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

3 months agoHouston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) said he's unsure if he'll be back with the team in 2025 but wouldn't be opposed to sticking around. "I don't know what the future holds but I definitely got a home in Houston, and I love those guys over there. They're good people," Diggs said. The 31-year-old veteran is out for the rest of the season after suffering a torn ACL in Week 8. The four-time Pro Bowler played in eight games in his first season with the Texans before his injury and caught 47 passes on 64 targets for 496 yards and three touchdowns as an every-week starting wideout in fantasy. However, his overall upside was limited due to the presence of Nico Collins, which could force Diggs to pursue an opportunity with another team on the open market in free agency. Diggs' market could depend on how his recovery from ACL surgery is coming along in the offseason.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

5 months agoHouston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) was officially placed on injured reserve on Tuesday. It was announced earlier in the day that Diggs had torn his ACL in Week 7 against the Indianapolis Colts. Moving Diggs to IR gives the Texans the roster space to potentially add another wide receiver for depth. The Texans will still be without standout wide receiver Nico Collins (hamstring) until Week 10. This opens up a huge void of targets and opportunities for second-year wide receiver Tank Dell. Dell was excellent in 2023 when he was the only show in town. The Texans will need him to step up in a big way in the coming weeks while they wait for Collins to ramp back up. The Texans will likely also spread to ball around to wide receivers Xavier Hutchinson, Robert Woods, and John Metchie III, along with tight end Dalton Schultz.--Quincy Milton III - RotoBaller
