Steelers Visiting With Omarion Hampton On Wednesday
1 week agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting North Carolina running back Omarion Hampton, Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon II and Oregon defensive tackle Derrick Harmon on pre-draft visits on Wednesday, according to The Athletic's Mike DeFabo. Hampton, who was a two-time All-American with the Tar Heels, is the biggest name here and is expected to come off the board in the first round at the end of this month. Pittsburgh has Jaylen Warren and added Kenneth Gainwell to their backfield after the departure of Najee Harris in free agency, but it's clear they aren't done adding to the position for the 2025 season. The Steelers have the 21st overall pick in the first round of this year's NFL draft and could be right in the wheelhouse to take Hampton, who would be expected to eventually work as the team's primary back over Warren in 2025.
