Steelers Release Trey Edmunds
2 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers released running back/fullback Trey Edmunds on Monday, according to a source. In his four seasons with Pittsburgh, Edmunds only had 22 carries for 92 yards and caught six of seven targets for 48 yards in 21 games, so he obviously wasn't a big part of their offense at all. He only played seven offensive snaps in the last two seasons. Second-year back Najee Harris will obviously lead this backfield yet again in 2022, with Benny Snell Jr. his primary backup. Behind him, Anthony McFarland Jr. will compete with rookies Mateo Durant and Jaylen Warren for No. 3 duties.
