Steelers Re-Sign Ray-Ray McCloud III, Restructure Derek Watt
4 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers agreed to an undisclosed one-year deal with restricted free-agent wide receiver/return man Ray-Ray McCloud III on Wednesday, according to an informed source. The team also created $880,000 in salary cap space by restructuring fullback Derek Watt's contract. McCloud played in every game last season with the Steelers, but he started just two of them. Placing an original-round tender on him would've cost $2.13 million for the 2021 season, so it's likely that Pittsburgh is bringing him back at a cheaper rate. The 24-year-old caught just 20 passes on 22 targets for 77 yards and no touchdowns in his first season with the team last year. In three years in the NFL, McCloud has 25 receptions for 113 yards and no scores in 32 games (three starts). He can be ignored in fantasy.
