1 year agoIn an interview with KDKA TV's Bob Pompeani, Pittsburgh Steelers owner Art Rooney II did not dismiss the idea of the organization trading for a veteran quarterback this offseason. "As we sit here in early February, we're not closing the door on anything," Rooney said. "We have a lot of evaluations to go through, and we'll go through all of the options and do what we need to do to be better this coming season." 2022 first-round pick Kenny Pickett has been underwhelming, throwing for just 4,474 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions in 25 career games. The 25-year-old dealt with a knee injury late in the season, forcing Mitchell Trubisky and Mason Rudolph into action. Even when Pickett was cleared to play, the Steelers opted to roll with Rudolph into the playoffs. The Steelers have remained a competitive team since the retirement of Ben Roethlisberger, but the quarterback spot has seemingly been the main thing holding the team back. With players like Russell Wilson and Justin Fields potentially being available via trade this offseason, the Steelers could be in the market.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller
