Steelers Asked About Le'Veon Bell
5 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers inquired about the availability of New York Jets running back Le'Veon Bell before the trade deadline when they feared that running back James Conner's (shoulder) injury was serious, according to sources. The Texans, Chiefs and Packers also discussed trading for Bell. When the Steelers learned that Conner's injury was just a week-to-week issue, the talks for Bell cooled. The 27-year-old Bell played his first five seasons with the Steelers. He's been a disappointment for fantasy owners so far in 2019, but he is in a prime position to bounce back with RB1 numbers in Week 9 against the Dolphins. There's a chance that the Jets look to trade Bell in the offseason.
