Starling Marte Out With Groin Injury On Sunday
2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Starling Marte (groin) is being held out of Sunday's game against the Miami Marlins due to left groin tightness. The ailment caused him to exit Saturday's game and he also underwent an MRI. The team is still awaiting the results of the MRI. Jeff McNeil will be covering Marte's usual right field post on Sunday. Marte has been swinging a hot bat so far in July. Over nine games this month, he's hit .382/.447/.618 with two home runs, two stolen bases, four RBI and two runs. Expect an update from us once his MRI results are in later on Sunday.
