Starling Marte Batting Second In Game 1
4 years agoMiami Marlins outfielder Starling Marte (ear) is in the lineup on Wednesday in Game 1 of the wild-card series against the Cubs. Marte was hit by a pitch in the helmet on Sunday in the regular season finale against the Yankees. Fortunately, Marte only suffered a left ear contusion and is good to go for the series opener. Marte is starting in center field and batting second. Over 28 games with the Marlins in 2020, Marte slashed .245/.286/.415 with four home runs, 13 RBI, 13 runs, and five steals. Despite a disappointing stint with the Marlins following his trade from the Diamondbacks, Marte had better splits against righties and could be a decent, cheap DFS play on Wednesday facing Kyle Hendricks.
