7 years agoUpdating a previous report, the splint will remain on Detroit Tigers pitcher Travis Wood's right index finger, and manager Ron Gardenhire said it will be a while before Wood can catch a baseball. While the injury is to his non-throwing hand, it doesn't help his chances of winning a roster spot. The veteran southpaw can be a swingman for the rebuilding Tigers, but he shouldn't be on anyone's fantasy radar in 2018.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
