Spencer Strider Bounces Back Nicely In Win
1 year agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Spencer Strider, who was pushed back from Monday to Wednesday, threw seven innings of one-run ball against the Philadelphia Phillies. Strider had nine strikeouts on the night with 77 strikes over 110 pitches. He induced 17 swings and misses. The Cy Young hopeful gave up four hits and two walks on the evening, lowering his ERA to 3.73 and running his record to 17-5. Strider lasted just 2 2/3 innings his last time out on Sept 6 against St. Louis, giving up six earned runs. His next time out should come early next week against the Phillies again in Atlanta.
