Spencer Steer Gets First Career Multi-Homer Game Monday
3 months agoCincinnati Reds super utilityman Spencer Steer had an excellent offensive night in Monday's 6-1 win over the Cardinals. Steer went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run, a three-run HR, a walk, a strikeout, and a stolen base. The 26-year-old launched a third-inning Sonny Gray fastball into the left-field seats and got Gray again to left-center in the fifth for his first career multi-hit game. While Steer's 18 HR, 60 runs scored, 74 RBI, and 19 stolen bases are respectable this season, his .237 batting average leaves something to be desired. Despite his average, Steer has produced enough to still be a useful fantasy contributor in all leagues.
