Spencer Steer A Home Run Away From The Cycle On Friday
1 year agoCincinnati Reds infielder Spencer Steer went 3-for-6 with an RBI, a run scored, and a strikeout in a 9-0 shutout win over the Chicago Cubs on Friday. Steer was a home run away from the cycle in this one as he opened up the scoring with his first three-bagger of the season. After he laced an RBI triple off Justin Steele to score Matt McLain he picked up two more hits, a double and a single. Steer is now slashing .285/.353/.478 to go along with six home runs, 23 RBI, and one stolen base over 186 at-bats. The 25-year-old rookie continues to impress and is worthy of being rostered in 12-team mixed leagues.
