Spencer Schwellenbach Strikes Out 10 In Strong Start On Friday
4 months agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Spencer Schwellenbach struck out 10 batters in seven innings and picked up the win in the Braves' 5-3 victory over the Miami Marlins on Friday. This now marks Schwellenbach's second straight start with double-digit strikeouts and his third start in his last four games of seven innings pitched. The Braves' rookie has really started to turn a corner, something the Braves needed with injuries to key starters in their rotation. With a 4.04 ERA and a 3.28 xERA, the 24-year-old is due for more positive regression. Fantasy managers that happen to see Schwellenbach on their waiver wire should snatch him up immediately. He'll get another chance to continue his hot streak on Thursday against the Milwaukee Brewers.
