Spencer Patton Notches First Career Save
3 years agoTexas Rangers relief pitcher Spencer Patton recorded his first career save versus the Los Angeles Angels on Monday. He tossed a scoreless ninth inning with one strikeout to earn his first save in seven professional seasons. Patton became a closer candidate after the trade of Ian Kennedy. He did blow his first save on Saturday, but looked solid during Monday's contest. He might be worth snagging in category leagues, assuming the Rangers are going to continue using him in that role.
