2 years agoYankees outfield prospect Spencer Jones is off to a blisteringly hot start in High-A, slashing .500/.550/1.167 with three home runs and seven RBI through four games. His large 6'7" frame draws comparisons to Yankees superstar Aaron Judge, and with the potential for power production already exhibited, it is not an asinine comparison. A string of injuries stymied his development in college, but he still managed to keep a 1.103 OPS in his last season as a Vanderbilt (albeit with a 23.5% K rate). The 21-year-old is still a few years away from the majors, so there is time to phase out any flaws.
