Spencer Dinwiddie To Sign With The Lakers
10 months agoAccording to Shams Charania of The Athletic, free-agent guard Spencer Dinwiddie intends to sign a deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. The veteran was moved to Toronto from Brooklyn on Thursday, although he never got a chance to suit up for the Raptors, with both parties agreeing to a contract buyout. Dinwiddie has had one of his worst years in recent memory in 2023-24, averaging 12.6 points, 6.0 assists, and 3.3 rebounds in 48 games with the Nets. He also shot 32.0% from deep, which has been an issue for category managers. Nonetheless, the 30-year-old will give the Lakers some much-needed depth, especially with the team hoping to keep Anthony Davis and LeBron James healthy come playoff time. But as far as Dinwiddie's fantasy outlook in Los Angeles is concerned, he'll surely get a few starts moving forward. Still, regardless of his role, he should see enough minutes to remain a viable fantasy producer, even if he gets most of his work from off the bench.
