Spencer Dinwiddie Leads Wizards To Victory With 34 Points
3 years agoWashington Wizards guard Spencer Dinwiddie came up huge for his team in a 135-134 win over the Pacers. With star guard Bradley Beal (hip) ruled out, Dinwiddie entered the starting five, playing a whopping 35 minutes while leading the team in shots, 24, points, 34, assists, nine, and three-pointers made, six. He also tacked on six rebounds and made both of his free-throw attempts. Dinwiddie endured a lost season last year due to injuries but was a star off the bench as recently as during the 2019-20 campaign, which saw him average over 20 points with nearly seven assists per game. He won't have this kind of upside when Beal is active, but the Wizards will need his scoring and playmaking off the bench, making him someone worth rostering.
