5 months agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Spencer Arrighetti struck out 13 batters in seven innings of work and picked up the win in the Astros' 5-4 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Saturday. Arrighetti improved his record to 5-10 and he now has a 5.14 ERA on the season. The Astros' rookie has now recorded 12+ strikeouts in back-to-back starts. After a rough start to the season, Arrighetti has started to come into better form as of late. His 5.14 ERA is paired with a 4.06 xERA, telling us that positive regression should be headed the 24-year-old's way. As Houston has worked its way back into the lead in the AL West they will take everything they can get from Arrighetti. The right-hander will look to continue his hot streak next Friday when the Astros host the Chicago White Sox. Fantasy managers and DFS managers alike should be sure to target Arrighetti for that matchup with Chicago posting just a 75 wRC+ over the last 14 days, making it a prime matchup for the rookie.--Kevin Larson - RotoBaller
