New England Patriots running back Sony Michel carried the ball 29 times for 113 yards with two touchdowns in the Patriots 37-31 victory over the Chiefs to reach the Super Bowl. The rookie running back was fantastic from the jump and the Patriots leaned on him to move the chains. Michel punched in a 1-yard score to get New England on the board and then sprinted untouched for a 10-yard score in the fourth quarter. Michel is hot at the right time and will have tons of sleeper potential as a possible Super Bowl MVP heading into the Patriots matchup against the Rams on February 3.--Joey C - RotoBaller

Running back Sony Michel is signing with the Los Angeles Rams. Michel was cut in the preseason by the Miami Dolphins last year and then was let go by the Los Angeles Chargers last December. The 28-year-old was on the Rams roster during its Super Bowl 56 win, so he'll have familiarity with Sean McVay's system heading into 2023. Michel rushed 208 times for 845 yards and four touchdowns in 2021 with the Rams, adding 21 receptions for 128 yards and another score. Cam Akers should still be viewed as the team's primary running back, but Michel could eat into his workload and will immediately draw late-round interest in deep leagues. Assuming Michel makes the roster, he'll likely relegate Kyren Williams and Zach Evans to the RB3 and RB4 roles. The former first-round pick has been a bust since entering the league, but he's been serviceable in spurts.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers running back Sony Michel was waived by the team on Friday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 27-year-old signed with LA in August after a brief stint with the Dolphins. Yet, he wasn't productive during his tenure with the bolts, compiling only 106 yards off 36 carries in 10 appearances. Michel will likely find a new club at some point before the 2023-24 campaign. However, he's not expected to draw much interest on the fantasy end unless he gets routine work. In a corresponding move, Los Angeles activated defensive end Joey Bosa (groin), who had been sidelined since Week 3 due to a groin tear.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers running back Sony Michel is a healthy scratch for Sunday's game against the Las Vegas Raiders. It's his second consecutive absence. He has accrued just 106 rushing yards and 53 receiving yards through 10 games. Expect Michel to remain inactive as long as Austin Ekeler, Isaiah Spiller, and Joshua Kelley are healthy.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Chargers running back Sony Michel is a healthy scratch for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. The 27-year-old has been nothing special in his first year with the Bolts, accruing just 106 rushing yards and 53 receiving yards through 10 games. With Michel sidelined, the Chargers will deploy Isaiah Spiller and Joshua Kelley in depth roles behind Austin Ekeler this week.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller
