Sonny Gray Still Can’t Get On Track In No-Decision
7 years agoNew York Yankees starter Sonny Gray has arguably been the least productive starter in the rotation thus far. Heading into Wednesday night's start, the 28-year-old had only gone over four innings once, posting an 8.27 ERA in four outings. On Wednesday, he surrendered two runs in the first inning, although his offense quickly responded. By the third inning, the Yankees led by two, but Gray couldn’t get on track. By the fifth inning, he was approaching 100 pitches with two men on base. Walking the bases loaded, he was finally pulled for Chad Green, rendering him unable to record the victory as his club prevailed 7-4.
