Sonny Gray Knocked Around By Lowly Orioles
6 years agoHaving defeated the Baltimore Orioles three times already this season, New York Yankees starter Sonny Gray sought his fourth on Wednesday afternoon but failed miserably. The 28-year-old lasted just 2 2/3 innings in the Bronx, getting booed off the field after surrendering seven runs on eight hits. Things seemed to be headed in a much different direction early on, as he retired the side rather comfortably in the first. With the Boston Red Sox awaiting at Fenway Park for a key, four-game series that begins tomorrow, Gray’s start on Wednesday is non-excusable, an atrocious performance that resulted in a disheartening defeat to the worst team in the majors.
