Sonny Gray Exits With Hamstring Tightness Monday
9 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals right-hander Sonny Gray (hamstring) exited Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Washington Nationals due to hamstring tightness. Rather than putting a timetable on the injury, Gray did not speak with the media as he prefers to know more about the tightness before commenting. The right-hander tossed 1 2/3 innings of scoreless ball while allowing one hit with one strikeout against zero walks before his departure. The veteran signed a three-year, $75 million contract with the Cardinals this winter on the heels of a 2023 campaign in which he worked to a 2.79 ERA across a career-high 32 starts and 184 innings pitched with the Minnesota Twins. More information should be made available on the prized righty in short order.
