Sonny Gray Allows Three Runs In No-Decision Effort Versus Boston
1 year agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Sonny Gray pitched for five innings, allowing three runs, resulting in a no-decision Wednesday against the Red Sox. Hurling 92 pitches, Gray gave up a run in the first inning and later in the 3rd as Boston's Justin Turner launched a solo home run off the right-hander. Gray settled but soon allowed his third earned run in the fifth inning when a triple followed by a base hit resulted in one more run being scored for the Red Sox. Gray's day concluded after pitching in five frames, accumulating five strikeouts during the game. Despite the no decision, the 33-year-old is still an excellent option in all fantasy formats.
