1 year agoMiami Marlins right-hander Sixto Sanchez (shoulder) still hasn't resumed throwing and had "slight shoulder soreness" after an extended spring training game. He then threw a 20-pitch bullpen session in Florida on May 30 without any pain, but he has since experienced yet another setback. At this point, it's fair to wonder if the 24-year-old Dominican will pitch again this season or be fully healthy. He is trying to rehab after having right-shoulder surgery, but Sanchez hasn't pitched in the majors since he made his big-league debut in 2020. In seven starts that season, he went 3-2 with a 3.46 ERA (3.50 FIP), 1.20 WHIP and 20.9 percent strikeout rate in 39 innings pitched.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
