Sixto Sanchez Building Up To Game Action
4 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Sixto Sanchez is being eased into game action this spring. Sanchez threw a bullpen session on Wednesday, though the team wants to have him throw a couple of live sessions before he takes the mound for any Grapefruit League action- per MLB.com's Christina De Nicola. Sanchez is coming off a promising rookie season where he pitched to a 3.46 ERA in 39.1 innings and showed some swing-and-miss stuff, though manager Don Mattingly tabbed Sanchez early in the offseason as someone who the team would be careful with. He'll be worked up into game shape come Opening Day and makes for an upside pick at a 128 ADP.
