1 month agoDetroit Pistons forward Simone Fontecchio (finger) will re-enter the lineup on Friday against the Denver Nuggets. He is back in the fold after missing two games due to a dislocated finger. Fontecchio's return provides an additional frontcourt option for the Pistons, but he is unlikely to have much impact in fantasy basketball. The Italian forward has been limited to 6.1 points and 3.1 rebounds in 17.4 minutes this season.

Simone Fontecchio Unavailable Monday Against Clippers
1 month agoDetroit Pistons forward Simone Fontecchio (finger) has been ruled out for Monday's matchup with the Los Angeles Clippers. Fontecchio dislocated a finger in his right hand in a 148-143 win over the Hawks on Sunday. The 29-year-old could be back on the floor on Wednesday versus the Celtics if the injury doesn't keep him out of the Pistons rotation long term. While Fontecchio is out of action, Ron Holland II and Isaiah Stewart will likely see an uptick in minutes. However, neither player will make much of an impact in fantasy this evening.

Simone Fontecchio Questionable Headed Into Saturday Night
3 months agoDetroit Pistons forward Simone Fontecchio (personal) is listed as questionable for Saturday night's matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves for personal reasons. Fontecchio has missed Detroit's last two games, putting him in danger of missing a third straight. The 29-year-old has produced modestly off Detroit's bench this season, averaging 6.4 PPG in 30 games. If he's to miss Saturday night's game, expect Ausar Thompson to get more minutes off Detroit's bench.

Simone Fontecchio Staying In Detroit
9 months agoFree-agent forward Simone Fontecchio agreed to a two-year, $16 million contract to return to the Pistons. The 28-year-old began last season in Utah before being traded to Detroit. In 66 games with both teams, he averaged 10.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.5 assists. With the Pistons in a rebuilding stage, anyone on the roster has a chance to earn minutes in 2024-25, meaning Fontecchio could turn himself into a viable fantasy commodity.

Simone Fontecchio Expected To Re-Sign With Pistons
10 months agoDetroit Pistons forward Simone Fontecchio is set to get a new deal from the team this summer. James L. Edwards III of The Athletic expects the Pistons to re-sign Fontecchio after the Italian enjoyed a good 16-game stint with the team in 2023-24. After coming over from Utah in February, Fontecchio averaged 15.4 points and 4.4 rebounds in Detroit, with 42.6 percent shooting deep. His campaign was cut short by a toe injury, which needed surgery. Fontecchio appeared to be a good fit for the Pistons. But the team has just parted ways with general manager Troy Weaver, and plenty more changes could be on the horizon, meaning there's quite a bit of uncertainty surrounding the Pistons.
