Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby has signed a two-year extension. The legendary centerman is set to enter the final year of his current deal and will continue to carry a $8.7 million cap hit when the new contract kicks in next season. Crosby's new deal gives the team a good amount of flexibility to build a strong team around him. He will be desperate to get back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs after missing the postseason two years on the bounce. The Penguins have taken a step back recently, but Crosby has remained in top form even at 37. He will enter 2024-25 on the back of two consecutive 90-point campaigns.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
