Sidney Crosby Notches Four Points In Defeat Sunday
8 months agoPittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby notched a goal and three assists but his team fell to the Colorado Avalanche in overtime by a 5-4 count on Sunday. The future Hall of Famer's team looked primed to earn the victory as they led 4-0 late in the second period before the Avalanche stormed back, tying the game with 4:38 remaining in the third period before winning it in the extra frame just 54 seconds in. While the Penguins have disappointed this season, Crosby has been excellent with 34 goals and 73 points across 70 games. The Penguins' playoff chances are almost zero as they sit with a 30-30-10 record, nine points back of the second Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference.
