Sidney Crosby Absent During Wednesday's Practice
4 mins agoAccording to Michelle Crechiolo of Pens Inside Scoop, Pittsburgh Penguins center Sidney Crosby (upper body) was absent during Wednesday's practice. The captain sustained this injury during their shootout loss to the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday evening but eventually returned later in the game. Head coach Mike Sullivan noted, "I don't have any more specifics. Once we have more specifics, I'll let you know." Fantasy managers should continue to monitor Crosby's status leading up to their next contest on Friday evening against the New York Rangers. Despite the injury, Crosby tallied an assist in Tuesday's contest and is currently riding a five-game point streak. During this stretch, he has found the back of the net four times and added three helpers. If Crosby were to miss Friday's game, Cody Glass would likely move up to the top line.
