Si Woo Kim Looking To Bounce Back At Valero Texas Open
9 hours agoPrior to his missed cut at the Texas Children's Houston Open, Si Woo Kim recorded five straight top-38 finishes, including four inside the top 25. He looks to get back on track at the Valero Texas Open, an event he has competed in seven times, making the cut in six straight appearances with four finishes of T23 or better. To repeat this success, Kim will need to be accurate with his approach game. He currently ranks 73rd in strokes gained on approach (0.174 per round), 88th in greens in regulation, and is in the 84th percentile for proximity from 200-plus yards, a range that accounted for 28.7% of all approach shots here last year. While he has found success in other areas, Kim's biggest strength is around the green, where he ranks 23rd in strokes gained (0.341 per round). Given his strong course history and solid form prior to the Houston Open, we're willing to overlook his missed cut and consider him a solid play at his $8,700 price tag on DraftKings.
