Shohei Ohtani Skipping Wednesday's Start Against Texas
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels designated hitter/starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani is skipping his next start against Texas on Wednesday, per manager Phil Nevin. He's just dealing with some fatigue so the Angels are giving him some extra rest. He'll toe the rubber against the Reds at home in his next turn. Ohtani has compiled a 10-5 record, 3.17 ERA, 1.064 WHIP, and 165:54 K/BB ratio across 130 2/3 innings (22 starts) as a pitcher this year. Oh, he's also hit 40 home runs and driven in 83 runs with a 1.068 OPS as a designated hitter.
