Shohei Ohtani Homers in Second Straight Game on Tuesday
7 years agoAfter hitting the first home run of his career on Tuesday, Angels two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani hit a two-run blast to center field in the sixth inning off reigning American League Cy Young winner Corey Kluber. Ohtani finished the day 2-for-5 with a game-high five total bases in the Angels' extra-inning win. After going 1-for-5 in his first game at designated hitter, Ohtani is now 5-for-9 with two home runs and five RBI over his last two games. While Ohtani is arguably the most-watched prospect this season, it still seems that most of his value will come from the mound rather than the plate, despite hitting two homers in two days. Ohtani will likely be in the lineup for Los Angeles on Thursday before his next start on the mound on Sunday against the Oakland Athletics.
