Shohei Ohtani Hits First MLB Home Run, Will DH Again On Wednesday
7 years agoLos Angeles Angels designated hitter Shohei Ohtani hit a home run in his first at-bat in front of the Anaheim home crowd on Tuesday off starter Josh Tomlin. The three-run shot was one of three hits Ohtani got in four at-bats. He also scored two runs. The outing came two days after getting his first major league win as a pitcher. The last player to hit a home run two days after getting a win as a pitcher? Babe Ruth in 1921. Ohtani is perhaps the most fascinating player in baseball and he will once again serve as the DH in Wednesday afternoon's contest against Cleveland starter Corey Kluber.
