6 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani underwent successful Tommy John surgery on Monday. He will not pitch at all in 2019, although he is expected to serve as LA's primary designated hitter all season. Ohtani hit .285/.361/.564 with 22 home runs, 61 RBI and 10 steals in 2018. He will be a draftable fantasy asset just as a hitter, but should return to his two-way ways in 2020.--patton
