Shohei Ohtani Goes Yard Monday Night
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels designated hitter/starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani smoked a first-inning home run off of New York Yankees starting pitcher Michael King in a 5-3 win Monday. In Ohtani's debut at Yankee Stadium, he smashed his 26th homer of the season with an exit velocity of 117.2 mph – the hardest-hit homer by an Angels player recorded during the Statcast era. The 2018 American League Rookie of the Year is now tied for the most homers in baseball with Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and is a front-runner for the American League MVP. Combined with his SP2 pitching numbers, Ohtani is not only the most exciting player in baseball, he's the most exciting player in fantasy baseball.
