Los Angeles Dodgers two-way star Shohei Ohtani had another exciting offensive performance in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Nationals. Ohtani was a double away from hitting for the cycle, going 3-for-4 with a single, a triple, a two-run home run, a walk, and a strikeout. The 30-year-old tied things up at 2-2 in the third inning, launching a MacKenzie Gore fastball into the right-field bullpen. While Ohtani is still working his way back to providing fantasy value on the mound, he has picked up where he left off offensively from last season. He now owns a .311/.436/.644 slash line with four HR, 13 runs scored, five RBI, and two stolen bases in 55 plate appearances. Ohtani should continue to be a top fantasy contributor as a hitter alone, with the potential to return to the mound later in the season.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani is expected to be activated off the paternity leave list ahead of Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers. Ohtani has missed the last two games while being away from the team due to the birth of his child. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said on Saturday that he expects Ohtani back in the lineup for the series finale. Eddie Rosario has been serving as the designated hitter, but is likely going to be optioned back to Triple-A on Sunday. Fantasy managers should check back for another update on Sunday to confirm Ohtani is good to go.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani is out of the Dodgers' lineup for Friday night's game against the Texas Rangers. Ohtani and his wife are expecting their first child. Fantasy managers should expect that Ohtani may be out for a few days, though manager Dave Roberts did say that it's possible Ohtani returns to the team by Sunday. The Dodgers have yet to release an official lineup for Friday night but expect Enrique Hernandez to get more at-bats in Ohtani's absence. Hernandez has hit for a .564 OPS to start the season, making him tough to trust in any fantasy format. Fantasy managers looking to fill Ohtani's void this weekend should be able to find other options on the waiver wire.--Kevin Larson - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani hit his second home run of his team's three-game sweep against the Rockies on Wednesday night. His solo shot came off German Marquez, who allowed seven runs and wasn't able to get out of the first inning. Ohtani finished the night 2-for-5 with two RBI and two strikeouts. His six home runs in 20 games give him a solid .398 wOBA to go with a .288 batting average, and he has five stolen bases in six attempts. He's not quite on his historic 50/50 pace from last season, but he continues to be an elite fantasy option with multiple ways to contribute to your offense every matchup. After an off-day Thursday, he and the Dodgers head to Texas to face the Rangers in a weekend matchup of the last two World Series champions.--Zach Thompson - RotoBaller

Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani had been in a little bit of a slump by his lofty standards before going 3-for-5 with a home run, three runs scored, and an RBI in Monday night's 5-3 victory over Colorado. Ohtani raised his average to .296 with five home runs, four stolen bases, and a .402 wOBA on the season. He had gone just 4-for-21 (.190) with no home runs in his previous five games but kept the mini-slump from getting any longer with his big game on Monday. He remains one of the top fantasy hitters in the game, even as he continues to work towards his return to the mound as well.--Zach Thompson - RotoBaller
