Shohei Ohtani Expected To Make Next Start
1 year agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher/designated hitter Shohei Ohtani (finger) left his Friday start against the Houston Astros after developing a blister on his finger. However, according to Jeff Fletcher of the SoCal News Group, the team expects him to make his next start, scheduled for Friday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. That's great news for fantasy managers, as the superstar has been phenomenal on the mound, pitching to a 3.50 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 32.2% strikeout rate with a 7-5 record, but has dealt with blister issues his past three starts. If Ohtani happens to miss time as a pitcher, he'll still appear in the lineup as the designated hitter and won't need a trip to the injured list.
