7 days agoTexas A&M pass-rusher Shemar Stewart is scheduled to visit with the Chicago Bears, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. In addition to the Bears, Stewart has been closely linked to the New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers and Atlanta Falcons during the pre-draft process. Sports Illustrated has Stewart projected to the 49ers in the first round at the end of this month. The 21-year-old defensive end only had 4.5 sacks in three college seasons, but he's extremely gifted athletically and stands at 6-foot-5, 267 pounds and ran a 4.59-second 40-yard dash. The Miami native has a rare combination of six, length and explosiveness as a pass-rusher, but he'll need to be coached up to better utilize his athleticism so that he can be more productive at the NFL level.
