Shelby Miller Earns Save For Dodgers Tuesday
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers relief pitcher Shelby Miller picked up a surprising first save of the season in Tuesday's 8-7 win over the Pirates. The 32-year-old veteran successfully protected a one-run lead with a 1-2-3 ninth inning and a strikeout. Evan Phillips had just returned from the paternity list, but he pitched the sixth inning. Six different relievers have now seen save opportunities for the Dodgers in 24 games, with Miller being the newest. It has been quite some time since he has been both healthy and fantasy relevant, so fantasy managers shouldn't necessarily read too much into this. Unfortunately, it appears that it may be difficult to pick a go-to Dodgers reliever for fantasy purposes.
