Shelby Miller Cut Loose By Texas Rangers
5 years agoThe Texas Rangers released RHP Shelby Miller on Thursday. It's possible the team re-signs him and has him work at Triple-A Nashville as a relief pitcher, but it appears his time in the Rangers organization as a starting pitcher is over. Miller was an absolute train wreck in the bigs this season, going 1-3 with an 8.59 ERA and 1.89 WHIP while the opponents were hitting .317 against him in 44 innings with eight homers and 29 walks allowed in eight starts and 11 relief appearances. Whether he sticks in Nashville, or latches on with another organization, it's clear his fantasy days are well in the rear-view mirror.
