6 years agoDetroit Tigers manager Ron Gardenhire said that relief pitcher Shane Greene will enter spring training as the team's closer. Greene managed to post a career-high 32 saves in 2018, but he was one of the shakiest closing options in fantasy baseball, also sporting a terrible 5.12 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, 9.2 K/9 and 2.7 BB/9 in 63 1/3 innings. The Tigers are unlikely to win many games and Greene will be a trade candidate at midseason if he pitches well.
