5 years agoAtlanta Braves relief pitcher Shane Greene has been named closer by manager Brian Snitker. The Braves acquired relievers Greene, Mark Melancon, and Chris Martin, all at the trade deadline. All three pitchers have closing experience, so it was unclear which would get the nod in the ninth inning. Greene has 22 saves converted with a 1.18 ERA across 38 innings.
