Shane Greene Blows Save And Takes Loss
6 years agoDetroit Tigers closer Shane Greene had a really tough time on Monday, serving up two home runs en route to getting walked off by the Chicago White Sox in a 4-2 loss. Greene gave up a solo homer to Daniel Palka, a single to Wellington Castillo, and then the walk-off home run by Matt Davidson. Greene was tagged with the blown save and the loss, bringing his record to 2-6 and his ERA to an ugly 4.72 on the year. Despite those numbers, he's still 28-for-33 in save opportunities and remains a decent option for those chasing saves and strikeouts (9.43 K/9).
