8 months agoOklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (quadriceps) has already been ruled out for Friday's matchup with the Celtics. However, head coach Mark Daigneault stated the MVP candidate won't play for the remainder of the Thunder's road trip, which concludes on Sunday in Indiana. Daigneault added that Gilgeous-Alexander returned to Oklahoma City for conditioning, so it seems he has a chance to return for Thursday's game against the Sacramento Kings. Of course, the team won't push him to return sooner than necessary, even if it means giving up the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference heading toward the playoffs. But with Jalen Williams (ankle) also out, guys like Aaron Wiggins, Chet Holmgren, Josh Giddey, and Luguentz Dort could pick things up offensively.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
