Seth Lugo Drawing A Lot Of Interest To Start
2 years agoFree-agent pitcher Seth Lugo is reportedly "drawing a lot of interest to start," per a tweet from The New York Post's Jon Heyman on Wednesday morning. Lugo pitched as a reliever for the New York Mets last season, logging a 3.60 ERA and a 3.76 FIP in 65 innings. In those 65 innings, which came over the course of 62 appearances, the 33-year-old also logged 69 strikeouts, 18 walks, three wins, three saves and 16 holds. Of the right-hander's 275 career appearances in the majors, 38 have been starts, including seven most recently during the 2020 season. The Mets don't appear to be interested in Lugo as a starter, so he's unlikely to re-sign with them.
