Seth Lugo Records Second Save On Tuesday
3 years agoNew York Mets pitcher Seth Lugo allowed one hit across a scoreless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's Game 2 win over the Atlanta Braves. Edwin Diaz pitched Game 1 of Tuesday's doubleheader, and manager Buck Showalter turned to Lugo to close out the nightcap. The 32-year-old retired three of four hitters he faced to earn his second save of the season. He now owns a 3.48 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 10 strikeouts over 10 1/3 innings in 2022. Lugo has racked up two saves and four holds this year and is worth rostering in deep-league formats or leagues that rewards the category solds.
