Seth Jones Gets First Goal Of The Year
5 years agoColumbus Blue Jackets defenseman Seth Jones scored his first goal of the season in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Islanders. Sonny Milano and Jakob Lilja bagged the helpers, while Boone Jenner notched his first goal of the season as well. Jones had only nine goals last season, but he was just one short of tying the league-lead for goals among defensemen in 2017-18 when he lit the lamp 16 times. His shooting percentage is at a lowly 4.3 percent so far this season, so he should be able to pick up his goal-scoring pace soon. Jones has four points in eight games overall.
